Wellbutrin for BPD

My current pdoc has suggested a try Wellbutrin (change from Lexapro, since I was feeling sad and flat, like not caring about anything). I read a little on Wellbutrin for bPD and don't see it being recommended, but have seen reviews from patients that are on it , usually in combo with Lexapro.

I was feeling mostly sad, until I started a new relationship and now feeling more positive, but also now experiencing severe lack ...

Brand new At this...

Hey everyone my name is Sierra and I've never used a forum before. I'm just searching for some advice or a sharing of personal experiences to relate to. I suspect I have a borderline personality disorder. My highs and lows are extreme and it's becoming very hard to function. I don't know what to do with ALL my thoughts and feelings. They take absolute control and I feel terribly worthless and confused. Its ruining my ...

Is being able to "turn off feelings" a Borderline trait?

For example, when things become too emotionally draining, can you turn your feelings off or do they simply seem to just "go away"? I have a friend with BPD who can do this, particularly when it comes to stressful events within intimate relationships, and I always thought it was just splitting, but now I'm thinking it's something else?

Also, if you do this, can you ...

"i can't control it!"

That's not what I said though... I said that I've learned to control it, that to begin with I didn't have any control over if I felt or not, and now I almost always do.

Sorry, I wasn't making fun of anyone. It just makes me laugh when I hear Phoenix on MvC3. Wouldn't it be dope if she ...

They're less functional, but succeeding more?

I suppose it's all relative.

They seem both less functional and more functional.

Also, I measure success by survival, period/full stop.

I don't care about money or power as most know it; I care about knowledge, and having what I need to have what I need.

I have a lovely blend of problems that happen to stick me like a dagger in key, crucial areas. Those are, social functioning, and extreme difficulty following through with ...

Am I in a Relationship with a BPD sufferer?

Hi there,

All signs point to the fact that my partner may have BPD... He is rather controlling, and has "fits", for lack of a better term, of uncontrolled rage which he is extremely apologetic for afterward. He can become violent...Has broken things, has purposefully ...
