Jealousy/Possessiveness/Insecurity Issues (LONG)

I've only recently been diagnosed with BPD & when I found forum's like this, felt relieved that there were others that could understand. Saying this, I apologize in advance about the incredible length of this post.
I've been going to therapy, & I know I still have a very long way to go, but have been making noticeable progress.. Except in one category. I have HUGE esteem issues when it comes to dealing with the ...

Depersonalisation feels worse today

I'm always disconnected from my supposed body, and always feel dissociated and depersonalised, but today my head feels horrible. It's not a headache. I feel so disconnected. I look in the mirror and it's like my body is a ghost stood outside in front of my "real body". It's like I'm looking through my ghost and staring at this person and I don't know who they are. They're ugly and I can't stand to look ...

If you don't mind me asking for your honest thoughts*TRIGGER

I posted this earlier on the ASPD forum, but I was hoping maybe someone here could help me out a bit on evaluating whether or not I do have a personality disorder.

I am a bit confused, and would really appreciate it if anybody could help me understand my personality issues. I also really appreciate everyone who takes the time to read (or even skim) through this long self-evaluation.

I am a female in high ...

Starting Again in a New City - Any Suggestions?

I just moved to a new city.

I have a clear slate here, for the most part. The friend I do have a little bit down south shares only good vibes with me.

There are a few problems already, though:

I do not have access to health care. I actually don't know this city/state at all. Where should I start looking for resources? I'm in the United States. I'm not going to get more specific ...

Can't get over her. Normal for BPD?

So, last year in september, I fell in love with this girl. Typical of BPD, I fell in love with her at first sight, before i even aw her face. I know..
By february we get pretty close and we become roommates. I am obsessed with her by then, and she likes me but doesnt want to commit to anything so its sort of this on and off thing we have. It made me crazy ...

Sharing diagnosis with non-BPD people

I thought I'd post this to vent and in case it's useful to anyone.

This afternoon I bumped into an older man from my 12 step groups. He seems like a safe person so I chatted to him for a while. I mentioned that I was on new meds and he asked me what my diagnosis was. As soon as I told him I knew I'd made a mistake. He said something to the effect ...

Correct DX

Hey all.

I've been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and sometimes suspect the "acting in" type of BPD. I was wondering if it was worth trying to get it diagnosed or if I should just find myself a good therapist and cover all my bases.

I'm also wondering if the "acting in" type would explain being essentially mute or if that's from something different.

Thanks.

Cultural Differences (I'm an Asian Borderline Woman)

My point of addressing my race is that in my own experience,
I lacked much affection from my father, which is somewhat typical of Korean fathers,
not to mention he also had BPD.

Growing up, I was the only Korean girl in my group of friends-
I felt like I was left out, didn't understand how families should be,
and also felt unattractive from being picked on all the time.

There was a serious lack ...
