It's been a few years now.. I also have a pretty bad anxiety disorder. My shrink doesn't want me on any meds but benzos so I just am med free running around. These past ...

Newly diagnosed and struggling

Hello everyone,

So a bit about me, I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago and have been put straight into therapy as I'm classed as 'high risk'. Previous to that I was at day hospital for the past 10 weeks after suicidal thoughts and a breakdown. I'm finding this all really difficult and have decided to post on this forum as I feel completely alone and consumed by all this at the moment. Up until now ...

Learning when to not trust

An individual who I have been very good to and was always there for, did something horrible on me once. It was near my birthday and they signed into my facebook and told my family , well shouted it out to my whole family something very personal that me and a friend were talking about ages ago. To think that the whole time, she was sneaking behind my back reading these messages, when I was ...

A really good article on dissociation

I posted this as a response to the "Dissociation?" thread recently on here, but I figure I would post it as a separate thread, as I think it's a very common, yet poorly understood, symptom that commonly comes along with BPD. Warning, it is REALLY freaking long, but it helped me get a very thorough understanding of what dissociation is, why we do it and some things that can be done to help with the ...

No medication for BPD?

I know some people have mentioned being on medication, but they didn't seem to be for BPD and rather for related conditions. I asked about medication and I was told there weren't any meds that would help with my symptoms, but I am really struggling at the moment. I've got very little support and I'm sooo tired of being unmotivated and depressed and unable to do anything meaningful. The most I can seem to do ...

New, scared & posted in wrong forum ooops...

I meant to post this here last night but posted in the general mental illness forum instead....

Hi.

I'm new... new here, and new to realizing I'm BPD.

I was diagnosed a year ago when I asked my therapist to give me a diagnostic test to figure out what's wrong with me, since I've known all my life I'm not exactly normal, but wasn't sure what "it" was.

She diagnosed me as BPD, 246 I ...
