Muscle Dysmorphia

Hi, is there anyone in here with muscle dysmorphia? I found an old thread about it but don't even know if the people are still around.

How do you know when you actually have it? If a person is always looking at muscle magazines with professionals built like the Hulk, they might think that's the ideal physique to work for. And until you get there, you'll always think you're "small". So where is the line ...

Do you think I have BDD?

Hey :)

First of all, I haven't been diagnosed with BDD.. I don't really talk to anyone about it. I mentioned it to my GP not long ago but I noticed as soon as I said it she smiled. That kinda stuck in my head, I don;t want people smiling when I'm giving sensitive info!! Anyway she didn't take it seriously..

Just wondering if you guys can ...

Hi

Hi everyone I'm new here!!

I was diagnosed with having BDD a few years back but didn't understand entirely what it was until reading about it lately.

The stuff I have read online states that people go to drastic measures like plastic surgery to get rid of a certain flaw.
For me I don't want surgery, I just think I am very ugly and an embarassment to the point where it's all i think about, ...

FREE CONSULTATION for BDD or others- please Read

Hello Everyone.

My name is Jethro, and I am a recovered BDD sufferer, or, more to the point, 'experiencer'.

I am now 29. I am WELL AWARE of the seriousness and horror of living in the world, or 'reality' of BDD.

Sleep for a Week

Wouldn't it be great if you could afford to stay in bed for a week every month. I would be able to relax and watch television and have no contact with the world. I feel that this isolation would make me stronger as a person. I would really benefit if I could get away from the negative effects of being in contact with people.

Deep insecurities

Hi everyone,

Ever since I was a small child, about as young as five or six, I've always compared myself to other people and never once been happy with the way I look. I distinctly remember all the times I used to envy my niece (who is only five months my junior) because she was a skinny child whereas I was chubbier. This was also the case with other children at primary school; none of ...
