My problem.

Background:
I am not quite sure how to classify my problem but I know for sure it is an eating disorder. I recently lost around 60 pounds through diet and exercise. I started counting calories on a regular day basis and log everything I eat daily. I am currently maintaining a healthy weight and exercising daily.

The Problem:
I have a constant anxiety that I will run out of my daily calorie budget and be ...

Binge Eating Disorder (cannot cope any more)

It all started off when I embarked on a 'heathy eating' diet back in college and from then on got stricter and stricter and thinner and thinner until I was probably anorexic....

That lasted quite a long time until I discovered bingeing (without purging), that became my new hobby and has now been for a about 3 years, until finally I went to the Dr to get some help and been referred to group cognitive ...

Responding defensively by binging; addiction to food?

I'm not entirely sure where this sort of topic should go, but...

Has anyone else been encountered by a "cleansing" nut? (and I say 'nut' oh so lovingly, of course.) My response was simply, 'I love my coffee addiction'.

This goes along with dieting in general, really.

I tend to get extremely defensive when encountered by someone who is either promoting diets/cleansing or who thinks it's their job to remind me that pizza is bad ...

Chemical - not emotional?

Just venting...

I started seeing a nutritionist about a year ago due to my desire to lose weight (almost hit 300lbs). She considered my eating habits to be lumped into the 'emotional binging' category. I was never convinced it was emotional. Unless boredom is considered an emotion? I tend to 'forage' when I'm bored.

Mainly when I overeat, it is because of a craving, which, more often than not I think is chemical, especially for ...

Hello everyone. This is my first post, but to me, it's an incredibly important one.

I was going to try to tell my entire story, but I just don't have it in me. My energy is zapped from all the thinking and worrying this to death. So, I wanted to run this past some of you who have more knowledge and experience in the whole ED treatment spectrum.

I’ve had four appointments at the ED ...

What treatment is there?

What type of treatments are there for binge eating disorder? I'm really, really hoping I can get help with it soon, for reals. I'm hoping some meds, if not meds than I'm hoping maybe a hospital place where I live at, so then I can't just eat whenever I want. If neither of them are even possible then my only other option is the option which doesn't even involve me eating, ever again. So is ...

I can't ignore it...

Well, I used to eat quite a bit when I was younger, very unhealthy and the like. I not too long ago took to Jack Lalanne and his motivational speeches on eating. They help a good deal, but I still eat too much or too unhealthy. I exercise decently to excessively, I've lost weight, and I have a good outlook on where my overall weight and health are heading...

However, I realize now that when ...
