Testing?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had my first appointment with an Attention specialist and filled out 4 pages of questions that was used in an hour interview session. She said that it definitely sounded like I had ADD, but now she wants me to come back for a 3 hour test that has sections on ADD as well as IQ, emotional problems...etc. I am not depressed. I do not have bi-polar symptoms, and I graduated from a major ...

Switching from concerta

Is anyone here on Strattera?

i've been trying to find a good alternative to Concerta, because I can't always get my refils because It's a controlled substance. So I was looking for some advice on if I should stick it out with the Concerta or if Strattera was a good alternative.

And I've tried to be put on Adderall and Ritallin but my Dr told me no =\

Any advice is welcome

My Rant. Trigger warning. Unspoiled.

I was placed into foster care immediately after my birth because my "birth mom" thought it would be a great idea to do a $#%^ ton of drugs and drink while pregnant with me. I'm still working through this since I just found out the real reasons I was placed in foster care a month ago, so please don't play devils advocate for her....please....I know finding out your pregnant is scary I'm just not in ...

I am asking for advice.

A boy is now four and half years old.
He is extremely active, sometimes he's not able to be calm, while in some situations, he can be extremely good and obedient. He listens when he wants to. Sometimes he is turning attention very fast, or he acts like hedoesn't hear you, or he is currently working only with his interest.

He is constantly asking why, how, and similar things, all ...

Is this ADHD?

Hello everyone, I'm a 22 year old male, and I kind of put much effort into writing this post, I hope you can take a quick read and help me out. (Sorry for the size of the post)

Throughout my school life I was always unable to sustain attention to the studies, as a consequence I end up feeling like I was seeing the content for the first time on the examination tests. I failed ...

Hey

Hello.

I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2007.
It does affect me quite badly, but I am trying to learn how to cope.
I was trialed on Ritalin, and then on Concerta.
It did not go well, my symptoms improved, however, I reacted badly and got quite a lot of side effects, so I was taken off it.
I am not in treatment for my ADHD anymore.
I go to a special educational needs school ...
