They say I have Asperger's, but I think they misdiagnosed.

Through my life I've always noticed that I was different. I never had anyone that i felt a real bond with, friends and family alike, they were all just people I would see something in and then get bored with. I would play with the boys, and the girls also found to like me as well. People just seemed to accept me in any little friend circle, and I went through them all without a ...

HELP!? NT woman baffled by AS man

I'm NT and met a AS man about ten weeks ago, at a weekly social event. I was struck by how clever he is, along with razor-sharp wit. He friended me immediately and began "liking" almost all of my Facebook posts.

I began to realize I was attracted to him about four weeks later. We see each other weekly at the social group, and when he mentioned an upcoming free symphony (after I expressed an ...

Dating an Asperger man: is it just friendship or is it more?

Hello everyone

I met a great guy with Asperger. He's very intelligent, clever, funny, talented, cute, ... We have the same interests and can spend hours playing music together or talk about quantum physics or spirituality. We have a very strong connection: spiritually, physically, mentally... but something is missing.

We've been "dating" for 3 months. I see him almost every day, and on the days I don't, he texts me. He's very physical with me. ...

i have a very underdeveloped body language. i'm 18, so before i thought well i'm young enough and haven't grown out of it yet, but the longer it went on and from how mature i am and now being an adult and being around adults, i think it isn't fitting and it makes me feel like a child. i fidget with my hands and whatever i am holding on to, i have a very gentle ...

Why am I so strange?

I've been bouncing around from professional to professional and got myself diagnosed with Asperger's three (!) times. I am a professional in the ASD field and studying behaviour analysis in post-secondary right now, so I know tons of people with the same diagnosis. One thing that is really striking me lately, though, is seeing how people with ASD want to socialize but yet lack the skills to. I, on the other hand, experience something completely ...

is childish body language related to asperger's?

i have very underdeveloped body language. i have a very gentle and swift demeanor. i fidget with my hands and whatever i am holding a lot, and sometimes but not always i even walk on my toes because i feel like it keeps my balance better in some situations. i am not a balanced person, that is probably due to asperger's. i am also somewhat energetic and feel like there's nothing wrong with holding two ...

Dealing with Insult/Bullying

So I have a bit of a problem. I am extremely sensitive. When someone says something, it bothers me for years. I have to be completely neutral in all situations in order to avoid this, and when I respond I tremble and I become depersonalized. I just wish I could live in a world where I could pursue what I want, as what I want to pursue causes no problems for anyone else. Why doesn't ...

Aspergers and being resented.

I know a guy who I suspect has aspergers. He is really difficult to like. He always thinks he is right. He makes no effort to talk to people. He is very rude and has a really negative aura around him. He refuses to accept responsibility for anything. Etc.

By the way, I'm not saying that this is common with people who have aspergers. I'm just wondering if you could talk about how aspergers might ...

Was it domestic violence or was it that he had asperger?

I was in a relationship with an asperger, I realised he had asperger for a lot of things he said, done and his past and by talking with specialists (he is not aware of his asperger, thou I tried to tell him). Now after two years and a half he broke with me. I was all the time comprehensive, nurturing and sweet. And when he was the one who broke with me suddenly, well it ...
