Disliking people saying things twice

It gets me really annoyed. I'm not deaf, I heard you the first time. A coping strategy I found is to "twice" people, to say the word "twice" when someone says something twice.

Do aspies unconsciously respond to non-verbal cues?

"People may be drawn together because of similiarities in the way in which their families functioned (..), but the knack we have of recognizing these similiarities, just by looking at another person, is uncanny. How do we do it? Psychiatrists explain the mysterious ´chemistry´of attraction by suggesting that our childhood experiences -- the reactions we learned to give in various situations -- have over the years ´hardened´ into habitual expressions, gestures, postures and movements, and ...

Do you see the Light?

I got permission from Petrossa, so please don't make him regret the decision.

Im just wondering how many aspies of the board believe in higher powers(gods) or not.

You can include a reason why you do or do not in a comment, but please keep them in good taste. Say what you do without attacking the religion, or a particular person. Theres always a tasteful way of saying something and an untasteful way, keep em ...

I Need Someone to Act as Buffer & Interface for Me

I don't know how to look for someone, but I need someone to execute plans for me, because filling out forms burn me out. Yes, I can fill out forms, but they cause me to stare at a screen and phase out, which ain't helpful.

So I´ve been wondering if any of you have any experience with how to deal with this in a more constructive way than I am currently doing.

How do you feel about change and how do you deal with it? Is ...

Proud Aspie?

I've seen posts on other forums where people are one of two things: proud of their "aspie-ness" and embracing it, or absolutely hating it because it makes their life hell. I think I came into this already in the right frame of mind, because I have a good friend, who is also an aspie (and has a son who has HFA), and has the attitude that "it is what it is" and you should embrace ...

Thoughts on This 2012 Shift in Dimensions?

And that post came from me. And I shed some tears of joy reading the articles. This is kind of long and complex and involves a few seemingly random topics. So bear with me it will be worth it I think.

Firstly I believe that we know about .000000000001 about what there is to the Universe or Multiverses. That being said, I believe anything is also possible with the open mind, technology, ideas etc.

That ...
