News of Anxiety Disorders

:roll: How can anybody live in today's society and NOT have some kind of a disorder??? Between the media keeping everyone stirred up, horrendous headlines, and kooks stealing kids out of their homes and then killing them...if a person doesn't have any generalized anxiety disorder, you wonder about them. I pray for GOD to help the world, because we sure need it!!!

Some of the symptoms I experiance are-
-If I touch something with my right side, the part fo my body that corresponds on my left side HAS to touch the thing. I can't stop myself doing this, but if i delay doing it, I wil worry for ages about what will happen

there's a fine line between things we do that we consider obsessive and compulsive, but this is it:
If you feel the need or 'I have" to do something, then you probably have it. If you cannot control it, then you have OC

When you have a compulsive to do something. You need to find ways to avoid it.
Example 1: If you have to wash your hands so frequently because you thinks its dirty, then go out and use your hands and play with the dirt until the anxiety settles off. I have pretty severe agoraphobia I got better for a little while and have severly relapsed along with many other areas in my life.

Im currently on 30mg citalopram, 30 mg Buspar

I dont find too much of a difference things are so severe I have to keep all the cyurtains shut because I cant bear to leave my bedroom otherwise.

So I just wondered if anyone else has taken any meds that helped?

I've been on this fourm for the last two hours just reading every thing i can.
