quit trying to label yourselves

i hate it when people try to label themselves with mental illnesses. they think that it is an excuse for the way that they live their life. they are some real #######4 disorders out there. personality disorders are not real. i am a ######6 psychologist i would know. they are again just made up by drug companies like zoloft and prozac trying to rip money away from weak people unlike me, and do you know ...

Selling sickness, disease mongering & shyness.

I am starting another thread on shyness becoming a disease. Another person has tried to start a thread on this topic but it was moved as it had nothing to do with antipsychiatry. The original author objected to this move but was ignored.

As highlighted by Irwin Savodnik is ...

is psychiatry quackery or cool

Many people think that mentally ill people are funny. They laugh at them when they are sent into mental institutions and are handcuffed down to beds and tranquilized. People think it is funny when people believe that there are trees that are talking to them and when they believe that they are God. People think it is funny when people kill themselves and throw their lives away when you get into drugs and alcohol. Psychiatrists ...

Psychiatry's sick compulsion: turning weaknesses into diseases

By Irwin Savodnik

IT'S JAN. 1. Past time to get your inoculation against seasonal affective disorder, or SAD - at least according to
the American Psychiatric Assn. As Americans rush to return Christmas junk, bumping into each other in Macy's and Best Buy, the psychiatric association ponders its latest iteration of ...

New, can I have more info?

I am so glad that there are people who believe as I do, and that I found you. I want to know more. I want to make sure we are on the same page.

I don’t really know much. I been struggling with depression. I never believed it was disease, but I get scared when I hear it’s “genetic, it’s disease, it’s forever, and you can’t do anything about it”. I am afraid to research ...

TeenScreen - New York Times - Danger Signs

by Evelyn Pringle

http://www.opednews.com

Maybe my expectations are too high. All of my life I've put a lot of stock in a story if I read it in the New York Times. In hindsight, I must admit that I found the whole saga of the planted WMD stories, that in large part helped the administration push the country ...
