I can't stop myself.

I get wound very easily. Especially with things that I feel hit a nerve. \he worst part of it is that the closer the person is to me, the worse I react. If I don't care about someone's opinion or the person in general I'll just ignore them but the people I care about end up being the ones I'll take it out on. I don't know what's wrong with me, it's like I focus ...

The Evil in Our Midst and Coping with Crisis

Dear Friends, I would like to point you to a Christian perspective on the horrific events at Virginia Tech Monday in Dr. Ray Pritchard 's blog:
"The Evil in Our Midst
April 18th, 2007 by Ray Pritchard
Yesterday I was asked during a radio broadcast why bad things happen to good people. I answered by saying that no one really knows the answer to that question, that the best minds in history have grappled with ...

Virgina Tech shootings: Would anger management have helped?

One of my readers asked me to comment on the tragic shootings at Virgina Tech College. My first reaction, like most people was an emptiness somewhere between my heart and my stomach. It was similar to the feeling I had when I heard about 9/11. It was a nauseating mixture of fear, sorrow beweilderment and anger.

*mod edit- no-one here is a professional*

I will say this everyone who commits a violent crime is not ...

Quietly Seethed with Rage

We are devastated by the Virginia Tech mass murders. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the grieving families and the college community who have lost loved ones and friends.

We all are asking the questions "How could this violence have been prevented?, What was going on with the gunman who called himself: Question Mark?"

Let me say that there are no simple answers. Investigators continue to discover more about the perpetrator, Cho Seung-Hui. Though ...

seething, literally seething

I am seething with rage.

Recently I underwent surgery and while coming out of anesthesia divulged private information about myself, subconsciously, to my surgeon, stating that I was a graduate of The Citadel and had also served in Iraq a few years ago.

On a post-operative visit to the surgeon's office he blocked my exit from the room and demanded that I engage him in a physical fight. Apparently the doctor thought he could get ...

Recurrent Anger

I am a 36y.o. guy and I've pretty much been hot-headed since I was a child. I am surprised I've never been arrested for assault or anything and have been able to divert my anger somehow. But it seems to be getting more difficult and has also materialized into other things such as depression now.
I'm into self-therapy type things and I think that part of always being frustrated is because I'm an idealistic type ...

Anger and guilt

Hey. I`m new to this forum. Apologies if this has already been covered. Does anyone one else feel guilty about expressing their anger no matter how justified ? I`m very laid back and some people take advantage. However, if I reach my limit and express my anger, I end up apologising for it. I guess I have more respect for other peoples` feelings than they do for mine so I just keep smiling and suppress ...
