My mother suggested that I go to an intensive outpatient program for my agoraphobia but after thinking about it for a while I feel it might just be to much for me. Just having to go to the program would be hard enough but then I have to go through exposure therapy which I understand involves having panic attacks and not using coping skills to stop them. Diagnosed with depression and anxiety at age 23. Tried Paxil, Wellbutrin, Zoloft, settled in at a dosage of 20mg of Lexapro for the following 8 years.

Fast forward to 2008. My dad took his own life. ...

I've experienced two severe panic attack episodes while taking the buss.
Now after that, no matter how aware I am that the buss is completely harmless, I can no longer take it.
There is such a strong fear associated with taking the buss now that getting on it makes me sick and trigger attacks to left and right.

What can I do to get over this completely nonsense fear?

I'm not really sure in which category to post, it could be a agoraphobia, or social anxiety..
Basically, a lot of things that happen in my life just make me nauseous. This is a feeling that can remain with me for days, or even months.

It first started when I had a girlfriend: we were a happy couple, never had any problems, shared the same opinions about most things, we were a good fit. ...

I hope everyone is still hanging in there! Remember anxiety attacks are just temporary. Nothing more than over the top adrenaline rushes in which you play a silly mind trick on yourself and convince yourself that something terrible is going to happen. That's it! They do go away, and you can certainly live a wonderful, happy life after overcoming panic attacks and agoraphobia, just hang in there!

One second of a panic attack can feel like an eternity and the hardest part of any recovery is the beginning when progress is measured in inches not miles.
