loving a histrionic

My boyfriend was diagnosed ADHD with Histrionic and Anti-Social personality disorder. I don't doubt the diagnosis, from what I have learned, he is a classic case. I fell in love with him, I moved him into my home with my daughter, and now understand what I have gotten myself into. I need advice on how to love a histrionic and have a healthy relationship, if a way exists. He loses control of himself frequently, and ...

Dogs get mental disorders too

Searching the Internet for information on Prozac, I just found an astonishing article on dogs suffering from a certain type of anxiety! Apparently, seven million dogs in the US suffer from that condition. I never thought that animals can have mental disorders, I knew that dogs experience some type of feelings that are like those of humans, like love, sadness, jealousy etc, but I had no idea that animals can have mental disorders too.

Have you recovered from Chronic Schizophrenia?

Hello,

Post by Somebody: Exercise & Building Self Esteem

Depression can devastate your self-esteem, which has been defined as the value or worth you place on yourself and the pride you feel in yourself. Self-esteem also involves accepting your shortcomings, limitations, and even failures. Therefore, knowledge and acceptance of yourself - both your good and bad characteristics - lay the groundwork for developing a healthy sense of self-esteem.

Low self-esteem can keep you from achieving goals and enjoying life fully. Before you can build ...

Coping Resources

Hi all~

I'm just posting to ask for information about where to find support for family members of those who live with bipolar disorder. The person I love most in the world has been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder by different psychiatrists over the years. Then he was told he didn't have it and went off all of his medications. He was fine for a while but all hell broke loose and now it looks like ...

I can't stop thinking about Her

I made a post around 3 months ago and this one is somewhat different. I want to 'hook up' with this girl that I've known (and liked) for about 5 years. About two years ago we started talking less frequently, and now none at all. We have totally different groups of friends (her being in the intimidating 'popular group' and me being in my reserved shy grouP). She liked me in gr. 6 and 7 ...
