I've always pretty much been obsessed with my health, but the last few years or so, I've become terrified of catching an STD (mainly herpes). The stupid thing is, I don't even have sex any more at ALL, becuase I'm convinced that I will catch something horrible.....I guess I feel like I have it coming to me for all the s*it I pulled when I was younger.

Hi. I am new here but not new to BPD. I've been posting on another message board and just came across this one. Actually, I came across the DID (dissociative identity disorder) group and posted my question there. But since I am actually borderline, maybe I should try my question here.

Does anyone here who has BPD tend to refer to themselves in the plural such as using 'we' instead of 'i' when talking about ...

Have many of you been able to cope with your mental illness without medication?

Also, is there anyone on this forum that was so disabled by mental illness that you could no longer take care of the basic neccessities of life?
