I am wondering if there is anyone out there on the 'delusional disorder' discussion list who has a significant other whose delusions are primarily related to smells - not smells from the body but smells of chemicals, acid, etc. that this person believes is somehow being deliberately sent into the house through some unknown means/persons. Also there is some obsession with areas of heat vs. cold that come and go.

I am wondering if anyone else thought they were autistic before they were diagnosed with schizophrenia, and why.

If I get a appointment with Doc and suggest klonapin or Xanex will that be a bad way to go about it. He doesnt seem very smart about this stuff but I dont want him to get mad for me asking for addictive type medicine.

Was up to 150 mg of zoloft. It helped a little at first , but then it stop working as good , which led to making me feel worse , so I quit cold turky. Now its been like 4 days without it after being on it for 8 months. I feel this really wierd dizzy feeling. It kind of feels like my brain catches up with my eyes and feel like a buzzing kinda. ...

I’m not quite sure how to explain this. I’ve thought about this and have tried to come up with answers and personal understanding of many aspects of my life as well as this particular aspect of my sexuality. I however keep getting stuck for various reasons, most notably from embarrassment. I’ve done some research on the net but haven’t really found anything that helps in the understanding of this particular part of my sexuality.

I decided to start a new thread to consolidate little golden nuggets of information that we learned through our experiences with significant other insanity.

These can be helpful insights into our own characters, reasons we think (or know) we made decisions in relation to the flawed HPD individuals in our lives, or something someone has taught us about relationships (or we've realized ourselves).
