I was on this forum a year and more ago. Occasionally I still looked in since, but this weekend I watched the movie 'The Shipping News' with Kevin Spacey, and Cate Blanchett as his clearly HPD wife. While the film is OK (the book is much better) as I watched it I realised just how much life has improved for me.

Hey,I don't know where I fit in terms of anxiety disorders but i don't think something is quite right. Everyday I wake up stressing about everyday events, then hash out maybe ten different scenarios and what happens in each one. This is if I get to sleep after worrying through the night.

During my first psychotic episode, i was writing a lot of things down that i thought were significant. I cannot be sue what these writings were (pretty non-coherent by all acounts) but to me they were so beautiful and had such insight of my current condition. OK here goes. The last few years I have had no proper regular sleep routine. No biggie there, it's just how its affecting me. Im getting betwen two and four hours of sleep a night, generally. This can change however, after such things as three nights in a row being unable to sleep and thus heading to University like a zombie. You,ve tried so hard but it just seems that all that brings joy is the thought of shooting yourself in the head. Blowing out your brains to bring the mind at rest. Or maybe gun to the heart? That would settle the restless beating that never stops. But all these would be calls for help "society" says. But that's what pisses me off the most. You can't do anything without good old "society" classifying anything. ...

I think I find myself becoming more and more 'attached' to my prescription medication, specifically lorazepam. I'm worried that I might be heading down the first stages of benzo addiction (which is something I can't have/allow/handle due to my other issues). The med works very well for what it does, I just don't seem to be able to leave it at that. Any tips for avoiding a bad situation with these meds?
