Is narcissism nature or nurture?

I think its both. As a child I was extremely sensitive which I think was just part of my nature but my upbringing caused me to create a defense mechanism which resulted in covert narcissism. I literally used to cry at everything no matter how small as a child and as an adult can barely feel enough emotion to genuinely cry.
