I've never enjoyed unsolicited touching. I'll shake your hand but I am under no obligation to come in for a hug just because you want to show that you are friendly. Nah.
You don't get to poke my face either because you think it's cute or pick me up by the hips to move me out of the way. Or to feel my hip bones. Which happened a few times. Why? No.

if anything i think I'm more sensitive to sensation BUT i believe my orgasms are less satisfying than other people's. why? because when i'm medicated for adhd i actually feel satisfied and content after an orgasm. it's a wild experience. normally it's more about getting as many as i can before i get bored and move on to the next task. medicated though? rocks my freaking world. i stare at the ceiling with a slack jaw smile, drool on my chin, and considering falling in love with whatever object or person just got me off. normally it's those ten seconds of cresting followed by immediately feeling the same as I did before. although immediate subsequent orgasms build on the first. still, three back to back is still not as great as one while medicated. okay, that's not fair. two back to back isn't as good as one medicated.

Why would having a personality disorder mean that I might not feel physical sensations? Why would shame about sexuality mean you lose sensation in your genitals?

Because sex, like most things, is not just a physical reaction, otherwise you'd be able to get equally aroused by anyone's skin rubbing against you and masturbation would be identical to sex with another. Sex is in the mind.
I'm not arguing; I'm explaining why I'm right.

Its very reminiscient of symptoms that were in the late 19th / early 20th century connected to hysteria, where a lot of the idea of early psychosomatics / conversion disorder originated. A lot of psychologiacl symptoms can manifest themselves in physiological ways, but of course that is not limited to personality disorders. It would be interesting though to know if the prevalence in PDs is higher, lower or roughly the same as compared to other disorders.

"...so shamed her entire life about her sexuality that she lost sensation to her sexual parts.
I think that would be a somatoform disorder due to trauma as opposed to directly connected to a personality disorder.
I think personality disorders and mood disorders are more likely to connect to psychosomatic illnesses (and trauma would be the determining factor as to whether they experience a somatoform one).

Sounds kind of stupid and maybe it is but it’s a curiosity I have. Are you able to feel things like someone running their finger up your arm, does it give you chills or goosebumps or is that sensation blocked. What about sexually, do you enjoy sex, do you experience the feelings and sensations that go along with intercourse?
Reason I ask is I read about a case of a woman with NPD and she was so shamed her entire life about her sexuality that she lost sensation to her sexual parts. She didn’t enjoy sex and experienced great shame from having it but knew it was necessary to keep a relationship going which obviously always became a problem
I don't enjoy sex unless I'm getting paid for it. This makes it quite difficult in relationships. I feel like I can only perform if there is a financial transaction otherwise I'm just not interested.
