Haha, no.

saucygirl31 wrote:i just mean people with poor social skills, problem solving, working memory, etc are less likely to use their empathy in a manipulative way

So that's your definition of intelligence? Being manipulative? :)

i used parts of the WAIS IQ test sections as my deffinition of the broad word "intelligence". but of course theres more like can u hold a television and a shotgun at the same time when exiting a house raid. street smarts.

intelligent people are more likely manipulative.

Their manipulation is more likely to succeed perhaps? Correlation does not imply causation...

i mean one would use their tool of manipulation more often if they were more intelligent, because of the success

that would not work in a court of law and you know it. stop trying to gaslight me.

You make it sound like it's a conscious process though, an expression of the will. Whereas, to me, people who aren't as intelligent will hit more snags, encounter more boundaries that are easy to set.

you make it seem like its conscious when it could be either methodical or natural.

i am agreeing that it is both.

I don't know what you're saying here...

Yeah, in fact it's so ingrained in everyone that we all do it all of the time without realising it's happening or that it's happening to us.

It's only talked about as "manipulation" when it's done without care for the feelings or rights of the other person, otherwise it's a normal (and vital) part of social negotiation.
I'm not arguing; I'm explaining why I'm right.
