She’s an aspie, I’d have thought the sensory assault is gonna be extremely abrasive for her

Please don’t take this the wrong way as I come in peace, but are you sure? Are you sure that is not your disorder talking? Humans as a species are social creatures, maybe our disorders make us believe differently at times but is it true or is a distortion? If I’m overstepping my place please just punch me in the face to let me know sometimes I can’t tell.

I'm a social creature and crave social interaction for sure. However, I find people stressful to be around. The idea of being touched by anyone but who I'm sexually interested in disgusts me. My ideas about people are tainted with paranoia. Everyone wants something from me and I want to give them nothing. It's so ingrained in my head I think I'll be dead before I work through it.

And so I have had to learn to seek my social needs on the internet. It isn't perfect but it's had it's moments. I find it better than the alternative.

I was social while I was in school for a while but any attempts in adulthood have left me feeling less than impressed and exhausted. Plus, going back to the post your quoted, I think conversation is much worse while speaking. I enjoy written conversation a lot more. There's more depth and playfulness.
