... nothing like demanding more to get me to doubledown on effort. Push / Pull, punishment and begging forgiveness: My NPD ex-bf and I used to play this game.... psychological S&M I used to call it.... he would recount my sins and the ways to which I messed up and could improve, and I would beg and plead forgiveness and promise to be better..... sometimes his punishments would last for days to weeks.... I loved every minute of it, especially when the psychological segued into the physical bedroom.
