Hi everybody,
I used to post here a few years ago. I'm a non. I'd like to hear your opinion on this, if you please: do you think it possibile for a person with NPD to believe that their partner has the disorder, when it's actually them? I don't mean projecting single behaviours, but the complete set, so to speak: knowing the disorder pretty well, and still think that the other person has it.
Thank you for your advice

Yep, my ex kept saying we both have NPD. I do think I have
some narcissistic traits, but I'm not a narcissist, he was accusing me of his own traits.

my experience is when i try to tell them how they hurt me ,they accuse me of being egotistical and cruel and that i hurt them.until i find the solution to indeed stop caring.
i do not know about the whole disorder.but don't you wonder if you have it indeed. i think the person who is more open to the possibility and judge himself might be the one who is less narcissistic

Thank you all.
I am getting to know this person who talks about her ex girlfriends as if they had NPD. I think all her knowledge on the disorder is based on pop psychology. She is an illustrator and she has even started an art project on narcissism. But the more I know her, the more I think that she behaves like someone with NPD...
...So, maybe it's me!! LOL

As a non, I came to realize that a vital part of the equation in my relationship with a narcissist was my unwillingness to be wrong, to give up on something that I invested in. I believe that my ego had a huge hand in the whole thing. Not that it's a bad thing to have a strong ego, but blind dedication to being right keeps you from moving on from something that has been dead and buried for awhile, but you are too proud to notice.
Life is only a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves.

The answer is a full YES!
I have lived my life thinking I have been in relationships with only insane individuals, I know better now.

It's more of a logical thing to me, you are acting crazy with me so i assume you the "crazy" one, if you show narcissistic traits i might just suspect you got NPD. The whole thing is pretty straightforward.
