I agree it's a pretty horrible thing to do, isn't it? my career allows me to 'help' people and then pat my own back and make sure all my friends know i'm helping people too so they can also pat my back.

I don't make fun of people or hurt them to their face, that would destroy my good person image. So no harm done, right? If anyone suggests I may have done anything wrong I tend to go all emo fit mod and react strong, narc injury essentially.

Cod liver oil is supposed to help. Vitamin supplements also. A lot of CNs jog. It's the adrenaline that helps.

I wasn't going to say anything about this episode. However, it did surprise me the number of people who contacted me asking if that's me. My first thought was: if it were, would I admit it? (It seemed like a pointless question. And, I was a little surprised because I thought I was seen as more stable than that.).

In actuality, I think I was being prompted to "do something."

The only reason I'm mentioning it is: the forum is everyone's. If anyone sees something they feel crosses the line, report the post. If you think someone's using two IDs to gaslight, report a post and describe the concern, referring to other posts. Just because no mods are named for our forum doesn't mean reported posts are ignored.

Some of you people who have been here 1-2 years should consider volunteering to be moderators. It would be great if we had a couple Ns and a couple nons as moderators (and could maintain the rather tolerant and ecumenical tone we have here.). A "council" who could keep it within boundaries.

Finally, I ignore trolls. I report posts if it appears trolling is occurring. But, never a post involving me -- because the individual might be expressing something valid and I leave it to others' judgement. (This person might have had a legitimate reaction to my dislike for my own traits, the way I describe it with contempt. That's his/her right. OTOH: I saw some other things, like in the HPD forum that looked needlessly aggressive.). I also ignore members who might be working something out like that. There's nothing I can contribute to gaslighters and such.

I volunteered myself for moderator for the NPD forum on a post in ASPD, and it seemed that several people agreed that I would be a good choice. I think it may have been assumed that I was in some way trolling or joking, but I was actually quite serious. I seem to be liked by most here, I'm an active member, and I really don't cause much trouble. I genuinely think I'd be a good person for it.

That's why I thought it might have been someone genuinely unhappy with the way I talk about NPD. (If they were getting something off their chest about me, it wouldn't be right for me to report it.).
