NPD mother played by Tilda Swinton in the movie: We Need To Talk About Kevin

Basically her inability to bond with ehr son since he was born caused massive damage to the child and he grows up into a psychopath. Definitely worth a watch IMO, i thoroughly enjoyed it, though it might trigger those who were raised by a detached narcissistic mother.

If you read the the book, I don't think you'll see the mother as narcissistic. I haven't seen the film, maybe they've changed her character in it.

Haven't read the book, but in the film her character was definitely portrayed as narcissistic. She basically hated her baby the minute he was born for changing her life so drastically. She just could not bond with him and had resentment. Kevin even points out to her that he was the way he is because he learned it from her.
