Sorry. I thought it was relevant since the OP identified his self-awareness with an awareness of something larger than himself.

Seeing how we're back on topic, did you know the hamster is your 17 millionth cousin, 80 million times removed?

When the "offload to computer" ability exists in the next 20-50 years, you know someone's going to get the idea to try it on a hamster first. Suddenly we'll have a hamster that can solve in 10 minutes problems which take us a year?

What if hamsters carry a grudge about the whole evolution thing? I wouldn't want to be wearing that sweatshirt.
