My dad is flying out to see me in a few weeks, and I plan to tell him about my mother's involvement/fabrication of my childhood illness. I'm 30 now. She's a saint to him still... the poor woman who stayed home and took care of the sick child and then died of cancer.
Are there others here who had their... umm what's the best word... perpetrator? die when they were fairly young?
Have you "come out" to your family?
I think I'm going to write a script out because I tend to disassociate when I talk about it and I can't imagine getting through this.

This sounds very tough for you. I have not been through this, I am sorry I cant offer any advice. I do think following a script is a good idea tho as it is likely to be extremely tough and any help may well be welcome. Dont be surprised if what you say is met with anger, at least initially before he gets his head around it.
I really hope it goes OK for you
