Hi,

I'm new to this forum and I've been browsing some of the topics and am amazed!

The courage it takes to not only tell others of your problems, but also have to bravery to admit them to yourself is really impressive here. I've had my fair share of problems and for the most part I try to pretend they never happened ( I know this is unhealthy, I just can't face them yet) and don't acknowledge them. Being this way, I can see how brilliant and inspiring it is to hear about other peoples problems and how this information shared by people is extremely helpful in letting others know they aren't alone. Reading about people's experiences that are similar to mine give me a lot of comfort, knowing that I am not the only one. I came here to gain a better knowledge of mental health in order to understand my own tendencies more clearly. Right now I'm not confident enough to share my own story, but hopefully overtime I will find that I can let you guys know that you aren't alone either.

Thank you :)

It is an amazing place, isn't it! I hope you feel comfortable in sticking around and contributing where you want, no matter how much or little of your own experience you choose to share, you're very welcome. :D

Really nice post. Thank you for your thank you. :D I've been here a long time, and I think sometimes I forget how much courage it takes to share our own personal experiences. Reading your post reminded me of how reluctant I was to post and how quiet I was here when I first came and how, through seeing the courage of others, I eventually got more courage to share also. I'm really grateful for people here being so wonderful and having that courage to model it to me and inspire me to improve in this area also. I think it is also great that everyone is usually so friendly here and so it helps to know that when you do have the courage to speak about things, it will be received with helpful and thoughtful replies....
