Hello. I'm 19 years old and a first year in college, psychology major.
I've struggled with an eating disorder for 10 years now, self injury for 5 years, and have attempted suicide multiple times.
I have also been through a lot of loss and grief, so I'll most likely be posting in that forum too.
As for a bit more about me as a person (because I try not to let my mental health diagnoses define all of me), I love writing, drawing, playing flute, and playing video games. Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the best. My goal is to be a therapist who specializes in youth/adolescent suicide prevention therapy. I know all too well how it feels to be in that position and what the thoughts are like, so I believe that experience will allow me to be more empathetic toward patients.
My therapist is currently on maternity leave until mid-April, so I hoped I could use this site to vent and ask questions when necessary, both during that time and after.
I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you. I'm always willing to help those who need it.
