I... did not know you were from Germany, I just like randomly switch languages.
 Oh my Gawd. That's a coincidence and a half, isn't it?

Ah, alright then. Which other languages do you speak?

I don't actually speak German, BTW, I just have a thing for Germany. Yeah, I'm weird. XD
I speak Urdu and Punjabi passably, French badly, and I know bits and pieces in Italian, German, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese and Esperanto, which I throw into conversation sometimes to make myself seem intelligent. :P

No, I don´t think it´s weird at all. I think it´s nice. Before I started being part of online forums (well, should be fora, right?) I was pretty anxious to mention my origin, because I thought everyone would start bitching about Nazi Germany. But I´ve come to realize that most people are surprisingly open about and acceptant of it. Only heard positive things so far. :) Nothing wrong with being smart, either. I´m learning Italian in school.

I still brace myself when talking about my ethincity on the internet, since Pakistani/Afghan = terrorist, right? But so far, all the terrorist jokes have been made by either me or people of similar ethincity. It's been weird/cool, sort of. XD
How're the Italian lessons? I remember learning French in school, it was like a drain on my soul even though I really like the language.

Same, basically. I like the language, well somewhat. Talking or reading out in class makes me anxious. Also, my teacher likes to use fill-in-the-blank texts. I know they are supposed to be easy. Not to say I´m good (I´m not), but with a dictionary I can write a somewhat understandable text on my own, but I just can´t get my head around those cloze tests. Out of context I don´t recall anything.

Why didn´t you like French classes?

Talking in front of the class was the worst... but not as bad as the speaking assessments. Talking for ten minutes in a different language in front of a tape recorder is the stuff of nightmares, it honestly is.
Fill-in-the-blank texts always go from ridiculously easy to ridiculously difficult for some reason. I don't know how they do it.

French classes were soul-draining because there was a lot of emphasis on learning what's appropriate for the exam rather than actually learning French. Also, I'm convinced the demons who torture in the deepest, darkest parts of Hell use French grammar. Dictionaries were some of the perks of French class though, because there were some random, usually sex related, words that were in the book and we'd all look them up and make innuendo in exaggerated stereotypical French accents. (Yeah, we were pretty immature. XD) They were like the biggest distraction ever, as were the videos the teacher showed us, the latter because they were so unbelievably dull. Apart from this one documentary about a nursery in the French mountains which was full of adorable French kiddies.

Anyway. Jesus Christ, I talk a lot, don't I? Anyway. Do you speak any languages apart from English and German? :]

No, but I could do some small talk in Latin.

Need to sleep now. Just thought I´d mention it, because I know that I would stay awake and wait for an answer. Night! :)

Oh and do you return to standard time also? For us over here it´s only one hour to go.

La famille would never let me stay up that late. (I actually ended up going to sleep at, like, twelve, but that's only because I was reading. >.>)
Oh, and morning! Or afternoon, or evening, whatever. How're you today? :D

I have no idea about standard time. It confuses me. I just tend to operate on different time frames from everyone else. XD
Can't be too different from you guys though, can it? Seeing as we're in the same continent and all.

G´day! I´m fine, thank you. How about yourself?

I think normally Germany´s an hour ahead of Great Britain. But since we switched from summer to winter time last night, we´re probably the same time now, unless you´ve changed the time as well. It´s about 12 in the noon here.

Your family wouldn´t let you..? May I ask how old you are?
