New to Forum - 19 year old Sociology major

Hey, hows it going, my name is Lou and I'm a sociology major at Brock university in St. Catharines, Ontario.

I love learning about the brain, how people work and how people interact with each other. I'm very interested in the behavioural aspects of psychology. I'm also fond of music; I play bass, drums, guitar, and I know a great deal of music theory as well. Music has opened my mind up to many personally unexplored depths of psychology and sociology, which has furthered my interest in not only psychology and sociology but also music as well.

This is the first time school has really played a part in my leisure time. I'm hoping that posting on this forum will help me with learning about different disorders while also being able to connect to (and help) people.

Welcome to the forum! The relationship between the music and psychology and sociology I think would be an extremely interesting avenue to explore. I do not really know anything about that except that playing music has helped me immensely through the many years I have endured abuse...

Yes music has changed my life completely. Im very interested in that avenue specifically.

I wish I could have gotten into Psychology... I applied to many schools however I got accepted for Forensic Psychology (which didnt interest me much) and Sociology only, no straight Psych. So sociology was the next best thing for me so I ran with it.
