Hello.
I have chosen the username Macxamus.
I am male, in my 60s, I am autistic, and I have PTSD.
I live in Shropshire in the UK.
I run a registered charity helping people with their mental health challenges.
I wrote a poem about DID, and I wanted to share it, but I need someone in here to check it out first, please, as I'd hate to upset or offend anyone.
I am looking forward to learning from everyone.
Thank you.

Hello all. Trying to recover from a relationship with a HPD girl. :)

I've also got a question - how many posts would I need to be able to PM someone? Seems I can't yet. There is some users I'd like try to contact for some peer support / discussion. Pretty unlikely they'd answer as most of them posted long long time ago, but would still try to give it a shot. :P

Welcome, Macxamus!

We have a poetry forum, poetry-corner/

where original poetry is quite welcome, within the forum rules. Any quotes from others should be cited, and be aware of the forum rules on content such as sexually explicit content or graphic violence, etc. Take a look through that forum you'll get a feel for what kind of content will be all right, we're looking forward to seeing a post from you there!

Hello and welcome, Jack! You'll have to be here a while in order to send a private message- in any event we do encourage peer support be openly in forum in order to help others who may have the same issues, that is after all, what we're here for. Looking forward to seeing you in the forums!

Re: Welcome New Members

Postby SamGreenHam » Thu May 15, 2025 4:49 pm

Greetings all, I just joined today.

I live in the U.S., large city and on full disability (for over ten years now) for psychiatric illness, specifically mood disorders (Major Depression), General Anxiety, ADHD, and likely more (complex PTSD is suspected, but not formally diagnosed; also possibly on the autism spectrum). Currently am struggling with just maintaining (improving?) my daily activities of living in general as I tend to be mostly introverted and stay at home, though I do enjoy occasional outside activities etc. when possible. As I am on full disability, I am on a fixed/limited income so financial budgeting issues are a constant concern.

Also I am a 60 years old divorced woman, living in an apartment with a roommate. I love pets (have a few at home, and volunteer to occasionally pet sit for othes, when necessary). Love to cook at home for both better nutrition and keeping food costs down, though I also experiment frequently with all types of recipes, new or old.

Here looking for information, general support and understanding, and hopefully occasionally pleasant discussions.

Thank you all very much.

Hi everyone,
I'm new here and just looking for a supportive space to learn, grow, and connect with others going through similar challenges. I'm hoping to find encouragement and guidance along the way. Grateful to be here.
