I was looking for people, interested in psychology.
Also as an introvert I'm looking for a place to communicate with people in general.

Hello Everyone!

I am a new member from the western US. I am pretty much open to discuss anything, I mean well to a point. I like to try and really be a deep thinker on everything and am genuinely a nice woman. Anyway its great to be apart of the community and hope to see you all around. <3

Hello,

I have found this site while I am in the process for looking for in person counselling.

I am from the US but living in the UK. It is a very long story but my mom is having a very hard time at the moment. In a conversation last night as she was having a bit of an awful episode due to Paxil she told me about instances of incest in my Dad's family. She told me things about my grandfather that I cant fully believe I heard her right.

She was hysterical and was so apologetic about telling me but it all just came out.

My mom is having a hard time at the moment and has really had a hard life in general. She is disabled, overweight, can't sleep due to pain in her legs and back for starteds. I feel immense guilt living away from her and do not know what i can or should do to help her. I

I am having a weird Sunday now and after telling my wife some about this (not the incest) she has suggested I find a counsellor which I should have done much earlier probably. I agree and I realise in general I need to find a place to share everything. I feel at a total loss of what to do. Trying to move forward. I'll post a longer version of this all somewhere else. Thanks everyone.

Welcome Dizmonster!

Psych Forums is a great place to be part of a community of online peer support.

Welcome Travis333!

You seem to be going through so much right now. There are other forums on here to share in, like sexual abuse and incest forum. You can try that to hopefully help you understand some of the suffering your mom has gone through and try to make some sense out of it. I am very sorry for your's and her pain.

Hi everyone,
I've been struggling with my mental health for quite some time. I've recently learned I may have bpd and since I'm really trying my best to recover I thought it might be helpful to find a healthy community I can relate to :)

Hi,

I'm here because this place pretty much sucked me in. :D Been struggling with anxiety issues all my life (especially social anxiety and obsessive thoughts related). I mainly like to just observe here... and occasionally contribute. I'm Finnish so English is not my native language... but I hope it's at least comprehensible!
Anyways, nice to meet everyone and take care :)
