Hi, This is site is new to me. I have been having a lot of issues lately and am trying to figure them out.The more I read about bpd, the more I think this may be an issue for me. How do I know? I am having some trouble navigating the site, but I think once I figure it out I could be very helpful.
One question that I have is about texting. I have gotten myself into destructive and dangerous situations becuase of texting. It is something that I can't control and I am wondering if anyone else has this problem? It is compulsive.
Any thoughts?

Hello everyone , my brother about 55 suffers from BP for over 30 years. During the lifetime of my parents he was looked after by them. They did not mention much about his illness to the family and we were in the dark about his diagnosis and what treatment he was taking. My parents are no more and we siblings are in the dark after the passing away of our parents. The brother lives alone and has recently had an episode resulting in his involuntary hospitalization. By joining this forum i wish to seek some advise from individuals who can share their experiences and help us cope with this illness. I dont know much about making a post in the forum and would appreciate help from users of this forum on making a post. etc.

Just now, Raine? There's a new topic here, is that the one you meant?

The forum is set to log people out after 30 minutes [to protect people on public computers] so if you're writing a longer post, I'd recommend using a text editor and then copy/pasting in here. ;)

HaHa! Yes! That is it. It took a lot of will to be that honest. I wasn't sure I wanted to try again :|

Hi Raine, I read your post and how you have lost your self, I had that feeling for quite some time after abusing rec. drugs as a teen. I guess for me that feeling was an after effect of the drug 'psychosis' if that is the correct term and which was the start of years of personalty disorders for myself. Perhaps your sense of losing your 'self' is a temporary result of the trauma you went through with your breakdown and shoud dissipate over time. Also you have friends here if you need them :D

Just to reassure you I know precisely how scared and frustrating it can be to have the 'loss of self ' feelings you are having so don't hesitate to PM me if you feel the need. There are good and helpful people on here so don't suffer in silence ok.

Hello everyone I am 20 years old, I have PTSD, Borderline, ADD and Bipolar at least that is what my disability says I have. I like to call it "half-crazy", much simpler to me. I am a part of a PTSD forum online but I have a lot of other issues they don't understand and don't have much help to offer there. Hoping this forum has a lot more people just like me :) I am very glad I found this site.
