Hello! I'm "Briri." I'm a young woman struggling with depression. I also suspect that I suffer from OCD and/or GAD, but I've yet to be diagnosed with any of those. I only recently sought help. I'm hoping things will start to get better. I've been lurking here for a little while and I found it very informative and supportive. I'm looking forward to posting with you all. :)

hi I'm new to the forum scene in general, I'm 30 and have been in a relationship with someone who has recently been diagnosed with aspergers, for 3 years now. when we first got together I knew she suffered with depression but did not know how bad she was.
I think I'm really just looking for advice from anyone with experience with living with an 'aspie'. or from anyone who can offer advice on how I can communicate with her better and try and understand what she is going through.
any help would be fantastic

Hey everyone.

New to this forum...needed somewhere to read and maybe find a little bit of direction.

27 years old, male (unfortunately). Off-and-on cutter, and sufferer of Gender Identity Disorder. Currently WAY closeted on that front; I work in the defense industry and am currently deployed to the Middle East.

Not sure what I'm going to find here, but all paths lead somewhere.

I am new to the forums and just wanted to post a little introduction. I am a woman in my mid-20's dealing with depression. I am trying to learn to value myself, which is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I've lurked for a while, but I hope to learn more by posting and joining in the discussions.

hello all, another noob to PsychForums, or any psychological type forums for that matter.

I was diagnosed as bipolar1 and medicated 5 months ago. I am doing pretty well so far.

I've been lurking here for a few months and decided to decloak today.

Hello, sometimes I miss really obvious things, but this time I saw the "small" reference to my introduction. Not allowed to use my real name, that'll be problematic. I'm XXYZGuy, actually I'm XXY and pretty well known anyway, and I'm treated for a couple of psychiatric illnesses and it's not unusual for XXY's have to psychiatric illnesses.

Anyway; my interests are AD/HD, PTSD, Bipolar and stuff.

If I link to my personal website, that is non commercial, is that acceptable?

XXYZGuy.

XXYZGuy,

Hello and welcome. :D I hope you find it helpful here. :D

I would discourage you from linking to your personal website if it contains details about you that are personally identifying (such as your full name etc) but if it is a blog written under a pseudonym or something, that will be ok. If the link you put up isn't appropriate, I will remove it.
