Cowgirls don't cry
Ride, baby, ride
Lessons in life are going to show you in time
Soon enough your gonna know why
It's gonna hurt every now and then
If you fall get back on again

Hello everyone I'm Schzominde
I was diagnosed with Schizophective disorder at the age of seven but was born with it, I also have a rare movement disorder called Dystonia, Had Deep brain stimulation surgery about a year ago and doing well. I have lived on my own in an apartment for the mentally ill, and my boyfriend has Schizophrenia as well. I am very open about my illness and cope day to day by keeping in contact with my doctors and my family and friends. They are a great support team. I am hoping to meat and make more friends to help my support team grow.

Thank you and God Bless :)

Thank you very much and how I put it no one goes through more then any one ales it just seams like we do because we are the only ones going through it. we are all individual people after all with unique lives, going through similar circumstances.

That is a very insightful thought... I never thought about it that way before but you are so right...

Hi everyone! Schzominde, it seems as though you have a very delightful perspective and I should like to get to know you some more!
As for myself, I'm 20 years old and in the spring I plan to begin school for Psychology. I've read many psychology books and enjoy being able to listen to people and share our own unique insights on all sorts of situations.
I have no specific medically diagnosed disorders, but like everyone, I have been through my fair share of ups and downs.
I hope through this sight I will be able to support and help people that maybe just need an ear to listen; as well as be able to turn here for support when I run into my own tough times and maybe need someone to help lift me up.
Apart from that, everyone have a wonderful day, and I hope to get to know many of you very soon!

Hello and welcome to the forums. Good luck with school. I hope that being here can give you some more realistic insight into what it is like to have a mental health issue so that you are better able to understand people with mental health issues. It is good to hear that you hope to support and help people here. :D I have Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and I help moderate some of the forums so I look forward to seeing you around. :D

It's very nice to now that someone who doesn't have mental illness to want to understand what it is and to help those of us who do, and thank you I am known to be some what of a philosopher in the way I see things how I see life it's like a poem and every one has their own view on it and I will respect that in every way, people seam to migrate to me because of that quality in me and I bring a good altitude were ever I go. It's a gift God has given me at birth and I think it's do to I have empathy for every thing in life. :D

Hello, I am the mom of a teen daughter diagnosed with Aspergers. I am also the sister of an adult sibling with schizoaffective disorder and a host of other debilitating issues. I am always interested in learning ways to parent my child well. I am also concerned about my sister and my mother who cares for her!
