Introducing myself

Didn't see a place to so I figured that I would here.

My name is Pamela and last night I was hospitalized for the first time because of a mental breakdown. I've been struggling with what I thought was depression for years. I had been diagnosed with Clinical Depression in 10 grade. Since then I've also been diagnosed with OCD, GAD, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I decided to join this forum because I feel like no one understands me or what I'm going through and hopefully I could meet some great people here who go through similar things that I do. By the way I'm 19 years old right now

Hello, I would depose my name to you but I'm paranoid that some one I know is here and will see it, so just call me Soundbites. I know what it is like to feel depressed for long periods of time. but I've never been ( to my understanding) OCD and I'm not sure what GAD is so.... I'm 19 as well, and am currently in college, though college is going #######5 as hell, and I doubt I'll make it through my first term, which kind of makes me realize that there is nothing I can do to better my life... Are you going to school or anything?

GAD is General Anxiety Disorder. I do go to college. I'm in my 2nd year. I felt the same way my first 2 semesters and even this semester. I just felt so overwhelmed and like I couldn't do it anymore but it always turned out in the end. Good Luck

I was hospitalized, yes, and I agree it's good to come together and feel less alone sharing experiences such as these. You seem happy to have made the contact and we're happy to have you here I really hope things start looking up for you soon, how are you feeling now?
