Hello all

Hello everyone, I'm new here.

I'm not a therapist or psychologist. I don't have any degrees or certifications but I would like to consider myself a helpful resource for others and someone who cares about the wellbeing of others. I would like to make myself available to answer questions and help others in need though this struggle of life.

I had a very early introduction to psychology and therapy. At the age of 12 I was sent to a very intense therapeutic program / boating School for high school. They have similar rules to prisons but more strict in regard to behavior. Examples being : You were unable to talk about anything that was not associated to your therapeutic rehabilitation and development. Everything else was considered off task talk and was a punishable offense. You were unable to read, listen to music, watch tv, or anything of the sort. You had no access to computer or anything of the nature. We would have individual therapy sessions weekly and group therapy sessions multiple times a week including a nightly meeting of feedback between peers on our progress and behavior, good or bad. They followed the practices of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which many know now is taking a back seat to the new Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Afterward I continued to pursue my personal development and developed interests in pursuing social psychology and philosophy as personal areas of study and inquiry.

I spend most of my time reading, meditating and pursuing meaningful relationships and conversation.

I look forward to hearing from any of you. I will do my best in providing any insight I can for others as I continue my own personal journey.

Good day!
