New --depression + psych analysis

Hey,

Just joined the site. I'm here mostly because my older sister is dealing wiht bad depression and it is seriously effecting her life and our family...she's losing her job, doesn't see her friends or want to do anything anymore...I want to understand what she is dealing with and learn know how I can best support her. Also kind of confused about where I am in life and hope to get some help in figuring out who I am and what I want to do with my life from people who are older and have more experience with life problems.

Weird post I know, but happy to be on a new platform where maybe i can find some help. thank u all!

If you're seeking advice for a relative in need, the optimal section for that is the Significant Others, Family & Friends forum. Otherwise, for hardships of your own, there's a slue of sections for specific diagnoses if applicable, or you can check out the Living with Mental Illness forum which basically encompasses the whole spectrum of mental health.

I think it's a very typical post, we're all here for similar reasons
