Hi there. My name is Haven and I'm new here, like literally just signed up haha. It's really nice to find a forum like this.

I'm a third year college student, and I volunteer with marine animals, though I'm not sure what I want to do in life yet. I've recently considered going into education as a science teacher. I have a psychiatric service dog and she's wonderful. I also play instruments and write and I dabble in visual arts!

I have a lot going on mental health wise. I'm officially diagnosed with generalized anxiety, adhd and major depressive disorder. I've also been diagnosed as agoraphobic but I've been doing so much better on that front lately. My professionals also have been tossing around a PTSD diagnosis, as well as wanting to get me tested to see if I'm on the autism spectrum (that should be happening this summer)- two of my docs think the adhd was misdiagnosed autism. I also have some psychotic and OCD symptoms, but those might stem from my other diagnoses and aren't necessarily disorders in and of themselves in my case.

Basically we don't really know what's going on with me but we're trying to figure out it out.

I have a lovely and supportive mother but I also really like feeling a sense of community support with this kind of thing, and also gain a lot from hearing other peoples' experiences. I really hope to get to know some of you and benefit from and be a benefit to this community.

Any advice at all on navigating the site and which boards most suit my needs is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

HI Haven. It sounds like you have a full and active life. You also seem every proactive in your health care. Welcome.

I was going to post some links to forums you might be interested in, but I thought it might be more interesting for you to discover the forum on your own. Check out the blue tabs above. They are main heading that contain sub-forums that have disorders, etc, associated with that heading. For instance, you will find OCD in the under the anxiety heading.

If you click on Board index in the upper left hand corner you can scroll through all the sub-forums, listed under their main headings.

The first month I was here I found the forum I wanted to participate in and bookmarked them.

It's nice to have you here. :)
