Tell us alittle about yourself. We'd love to meet you and say howdy.

Hello everyone! I'm new here....and a little nervous! But sure, I'll give this a go anyway.

Hmmm....what to say....what to say....I'm twenty. I'm Irish. I'm studying Arts at college at the moment. Is that enough for the time being?

Hope that you are all well. :)

Hey all

I'm new here, just joined today. A bit about myself: I'm Sarah, 16, from the NSW Central Coast in Australia. I'm a pretty confident person but I've had OCD for several years and it sucks big time - I have several different obsessions and a stack of compulsions. I'm also necrophobic and emetophobic, but I'm overcoming both of these. I've been looking for a place to talk about my OCD and phobias for a long time and am really happy to have come across the psychForum.

Hope to chat with you all very soon! Oh, and SmallTalkRed - I love your laughing/living quote in your signature. It's really inspiring!

x Sarah

.

In person, I say very little. In type I can be downright annoying if I don't keep my fingers under control as I tend to type out free floating thoughts (in parantheses [?sp]). So Ill try to keep this short (though being asked to type on my unfortunately favorite subject could easily lead to a long unreadable essay).

Suffice it to say I am, and have always been, a loner. For a very long time I have tried to "get over" my difficulties on my own, and am still largely displeased that I have proven unable to do so.

However, I am quickly getting old now, and even I am coming around to the fact that I may need some help. I recognize that posting in anonymous cyberland is a very small step, but I do hope to take larger steps in the not too distant future.

Welcome to the board, Another! Long unreadable essays are fun, by the way, and small steps are better than no steps at all!

You sound really cool.

Thanks stokes! :D So do you, I really like the arts (visual arts, music, theatre, dance etc). It must be really interesting to study at college!
