I am new to this place and am not quite sure that I am writing this introduction in the right place...ah well, you will probably forgive me if I make a fool of myself - I hope. :D

I am 24 years-old and from Denmark.

I hope to have a nice time here.

Not too keen on giving my real name....umm...so I'll sign this

Jo

Hi Jo,

Welcome from Denmark. We have members from around the world.
You dont have to give anymore info than you want. This is a public
forum so I myself would be careful about giving personal info.

If you can always pm a member or mod if you have something you dont want to post.

Welcome to the PsychForums!

Thank you very much for the welcome!
I still find it a bit overwhelming here with so many different forums and English not being my native language, it is all a bit confusing. I hope that I will in time find my way around. lol

Quick Q: Is this an American forum or British or International?

Thank you for the answer, tho it wasn't quite the different languages I was thinking of when I asked the question.
I was thinking of whether or not this started out being a forum for Americans or UK users or international.
I was curious about what nationality of the majority of the users.
Also I was curious as to who is the owners of the forum, I mean who runs this joint. ;) lol.

Yeah I like the smiling bulldog too. :D

Again thank you for the warm welcome! I hope you had a great weekend yourself. :)

Hello,
Although I'm registered here for a few years now. But I was never really active here. I have problems opening myself to people so that's why I guess I didn't talk much on these forums.

Welcome J_M! I hope now you can be more comfortable and open up. It's always hardest the first time, I know, but once you get past that, it's a piece of cake!

Mm... cake... -drools- XDD
I can carry the whole weight of the world on myself and not have a problem, but as soon as I add my own, it's impossible.

Never know what you'll learn today - maybe something new. Did you know [insert traumatic experience] happened? Well today you had that flashback! Gee whiz, isn't life just WONDERFUL? :D

Postby Raze » Tue Sep 04, 2007 3:10 am

Greetings. I have joined this forum to discuss developments in my mental illnesses that I am not presently comfortable discussing offline/face-to-face with other people - including my therapists, which is a bit contradictory to recovery I suppose. I'm frankly frightened by the direction I've taken, and hope to find some insights here. Since you'll be hearing more than enough about disorders here, however, I guess I should talk about the... non-dysfunctional aspects of my life.
I am a student pursuing a career teaching highschool biology. I love and animals and the natural world (people, not so much), and spend most of my time participating in animal rescue, educational writing, etc. I take comfort and companionship from pets I've rescued, and also breed invertebrates as a hobbyist. Additionally, I enjoy fiction writing, photography, hiking, kayaking, cross-country skiing, and basically anything I can do outdoors alone.
Hm. Can't think of much else; I seem to have narrowed my entire self-concept down into a "hobbies and interests" blank on a questionaire... interesting.

Welcome Raze, glad you decided to join the forum. Sorry to hear that you're concerned about the turn your MI has taken, but feel free to talk about anything that's bothering you or anything at all that's on your mind. Your "hobbies and interests" sound intriguing and fulfilling, glad you shared them.
