What do the colours of the members names stand for?

Postby Camelidae » Wed Jan 18, 2012 9:37 pm

What do the different colours of the members names stand for? The latest one I´ve noticed is some light blue.

Thanks in advance and apologies if posted in the wrong section,

Camelidae

Red are admin- all knowing all seeing

Green are supermods- they have more 'control' and 'power' than the blue mods

Deeper blue are mods or they could be smurfs! Similar to above, but slightly restricted.

Faded blue are admin/supermods/mods combined, who for whatever reason are no longer doing it.

Yellow/orange are us the mere forum user.

All admin, supermods, mods and ex moddy peeps are very helpful and knowledgeable, if you need them for anything pm them.

Yes spike's information is correct and easy to understand, thank you for responding to this thread spike.

Camelidae, thank you for raising this question. It makes me realize there is not much information on the site about what the various levels of moderators do and how to know which level of moderator you need to contact if there is something specific you are looking for help with. I will try to remedy this within the next few weeks and create a little "fact sheet" here for people to refer to.

Wilson, I enjoyed the songs. Thank you for sharing.

mystic dolphin, play nice...

Why did so many admins/(super)mods resign all of a sudden?

Sometimes you gotta shake things up.

It might have seemed like all of a sudden, especially as a group of names changed colour to light blue all at once, but a lot of those mods/admins haven't been using the site for some time.

I think each mod/admin would have their own personal reasons for wanting the change, so I can't really speak for everyone.

New Year seems like a typical time to reflect on the direction you're taking and make new goals or resolutions. Some mods may have wanted some time out to concentrate on different things in their lives. (We all have our own mental health issues, and sometimes it's easy to ignore your own problems while you try to help other members.)

But I think change is good, and it's great to see that there are new volunteer mods. :D
No diagnosis, lots of opinions, and a bunch of issues that I haven't quite figured out.

Are you referring to them all becoming light blue and now listed as former mods? They didn't all resign at once, it's just that the admin who is doing the clean up of old information decided to do the clean up all at once. Most of those former admin/supermods/moderators that had turned light blue had been gone for quite a while... They didn't all resign at once fortunately. :D
