Can anyone help me?

I have a problem.

I am technologically incompetent and I cannot figure out how I get a picture by my name.

I have tried on several occasions but it makes no sense to me at all.

Is there anyone out there who could help me?

I need like really simple instructions!

Hey,

You have to find a picture off the website and copy its URL/link. You then go to your User Control Panel (The link to this is at the top-left of every page on this website, just under the banner). Then click on the 'Profile' tab, followed by 'Edit avatar' (on the left). Then, paste the URL/link for the image into the box entitled 'Link off-site' and click 'Submit'.

There are restrictions on the size of the image (both file-size and actual dimensions).

Kevin's instructions are good. The only thing I wanted to add is that if you find a picture on the internet that you like and it is too big, download it to your computer, resize it using Paint or Photoshop or whatever and then upload it again to an image sharing website, copy the url from the address bar where your picture is located and then follow Kevin's instructions. I remember it being quite tricky when I first did it too. Lucky I like the picture I picked and have stuck with it! Good luck. I look forward to seeing what image you choose!

I wanted a different image so I am going to try your suggestion Salted. If I can work out how to open photo shop.......
