Hello all. My name is Aviendha. I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I'm not really mentally ill, but I do experience some OCD spectrum traits which cause me some frustration. I also have interest in understanding mental illness better, so that's why I'm here I guess. If there's anybody here that has OCD and would like to chat, you can PM me

Hi,
You have quite a beautiful name, I must say. I have learned a lot about mental illnesses during my time here, and if you stay for long-enough, I'm confident that you will laern a lot too. I replied to your other thread, by the way.
TAke care Aviendha,
Kevin

Hi Aviedha, welcome to the forum.
I could not help noticing your name. Is that Aviendha as in the books by Robert Jordan, or is there another story to it?

Never heard of that book myself, eppie. I'm wondering who that is in Aviendha's avatar though...?

Hi eppie. Hi Chucky.
The avatar comes from the collection of Edward S Curtis, a photographer of the American West and of Native American peoples. The photo from my avatar is Lucille, Dakota Sioux of 1907. I have a great fondness for primitive people and their way of life.
Eppie, the name does come from the Jordan series, but it's a play on my given name. I don't like using my true name online, so that's why I've chosen Aviendha. It's beautiful and also similar to my chosen name.
