Why do some topics get locked when only one person on the

thread is trippin?
Why not block the one acting up from the thread?

It depends, if it's an argument or can cause more problems then not it will be locked. We can't just ban people for causing it here and there, so it's best to just stem the problem by locking the thread in question. Some threads I think can be opened, but some are better off locked. A member can always restart their topic again or if their thread was over-run ask for their topic to be unlocked.
