One of my old E-mail addresses already has deactivated account associated with it. It's my understanding that accounts can no longer be recovered once deactivated, but is it possible for me to see what posts that deactivated account has made on this forum?

Search here, or in Google under the deactivated user name to see the posts, that would be the easiest thing to do.

Thank you. However, I have forgotten the account's username and only have the E-mail address. Can I find out the username for the address somehow? I have access to the address and can verify it as my own, if necessary.

I'm afraid email address isn't enough verification, no. Anonymity/Privacy are our most important policies here at PF and we require multiple proofs. The knowledge of an email address or access to it won't suffice.
Perhaps you'll remember the forums you posted in, the topics, and a rough time frame, and be able to search based on that criteria. Sorry we can't do anything more for you.

Thank you for the information. I feel I still have to try one last long shot before I can accept this loss and make peace with those possible things I've said and not being able to verify their content: is there any possible way for me to recover an account based on E-mail address alone?

If you have access to the email address, you can search up “psychforums” in your inbox. Old emails sent to you from psychforums should also contain your username.
