How do you address ppl who give feedback?

I've gotten some lovely feedback from others and when they do I like to acknowledge them, but I don't know if they'll ever see it unless they return to that specific thread.

Is there a way to address them, such as @ or something like that, that lets them know something has been said to/about them?

Would be nice if so. I've gone back to threads I stopped reading to find someone did that with myself...weeks before. I think the best method might be sending them a PM.
