Hello!
I am wanting to ask everyone's help and opinion about what forum to post my question in. None of the forums I see on here seem to match the topic of what I want to post, other than possibly the "off-topic" section.
The question I have is how I always noticed that in groups (mainly in church, actually), people that I've seen week in and week out never talk to me. I am very shy and don't like initiating conversations and wait for people to talk to me, but they never do, and they seem like they couldn't care less if they never met me. My question is about, am I going about it all the wrong way and being immature and should be talking to them first instead of expecting them to come to me? or am I 'on to something' and they are being stuck-uppish?
So... could you direct me to what forum (if any) I could or should post that question in?

How about Living with Mental Illness? Perhaps others there can gain some insight into what you are describing. Perhaps elaborate a little bit more on you and your issues.

I don't HAVE mental illness though (that i know of). This is just a question about shyness-related stuff. That's why I said I can't figure out what category to put it in.

I'm truly sorry it came off as meaning that you have a mental illness.

Living With Mental Illness is our "town square" area. It's a good place to get opinions from a variety of people. On a really wide range of topics. So is what I'd recommend too.

Alternatives might be
self-esteem/ or
generalized-anxiety/ . Again, those aren't diagnoses! Just places where people might be able to relate and share experience / support.

More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.”
