Mods

Ok so I get mods are human beings and have their own sh1t going, but there appears to be so many missing just now and yeah blah. Where have they all gone? Forums used to be well modded and it was pretty hard to get away with stuff, but now mods are missing and there appears to be a reluctance from other mods to do anything in forums that aren't theirs.

Just having a head fart really!

Can be frustrating not too see as many mods online, or less interaction like there used to be i totally understand that.

in my own defence i do actually help out in a few other forums (when time permits) and comment when i can

Rants are welcome as you know ..its healthy to get it off your chest, clear the air and all that.
But i do understand , just wanted to tell you that, we do care, we really do

At a guess, I'd say it's because they have lives too....and issues, and kids, and holidays and work. And, I'm guessing they don't want to spend 24 hours a day watching you.

I'm NOT disputing that they have lives too. I'm also aware that some mods are doing stuff off the main boards. Yes I know mods have lives, kids, jobs, holidays and originally started off as a mere randoms on the boards. I also do NOT want mods to watch me 24/7. I am merely stating it would be nice to see the mods responsible for which ever forum active in said forum more often.

Sometimes that's just not possible. Maybe they're away, or having their own crisis. The mods are just ordinary people, volunteering their time, not counsellors.

There are usually mods around. If there's a problem you can always PM a mod. Or press the report (!) button if someone's kicking off. Sometimes they do that invisible thing - you know when you log in and you can hide. Or they might just check the forum without logging in at all. But there's usually someone around if you need help.

Really and truly though, this forum is a peer support forum. People get to look after each other.

I know you do Smurf. But the mods here do a great job keeping this site running even when they themselves are, at times, struggling. So maybe you could cut them a bit of slack rather than taking a swipe at them. Without them this site wouldn't even be here.
