Broken links

Postby miss_empathy » Sun May 15, 2016 10:32 pm

Why is it that when I look at a members previous comments, do I get led to links that don't work. I can see the first paragraph, but when I click on the links they lead to page not found. I see this more often than not on these boards.

You could also try refreshing the page. Or trying again later. This happens to me a lot too. As far as I know, we haven't archived anything. The forums go back 13 years. Just sometimes it takes a few goes to get it to show up.

I tried refreshing threads that were only in January... multiple refreshes. Nada. This is a serious problem.

OK, I went to your profile and scrolled back just a little bit. (This is around page 15 on your profile, from Jan 26, 2016.)

Re: Another 'Does this sound like depersonalization' thread
I'm sorry that your first answer will be a non answer. Welcome to the forum! But hopefully more knowledgeable people than I will be by to comment too. I just wanted to pitch in on- I'm working on setting up an appointment with my college's psyche services, but this sense of uncertainty mak...

I can see the title of the thread, and the first bit. The link goes here. post1822133.html#p1822133

But does not work.

I would not have brought this up if I haven't encountered this for months on dozens and dozens of links.

That's fair enough. I'm just trying to get enough information to try and resolve the problem. There's no obvious cause. Hence digging into it in detail.

Can you see the thread if you use this link- depersonalization/topic175245.html ?

No I cannot. I only gave you one link, but this effects HUNDREDS of links.

What browser and device are you using? Are you able to try a desktop. If you usually log in via a mobile device?

There's no obvious problem with the links. Or with the forum or your account. So this is my next line of investigation. :) We'll try to get this worked out!

I usually use a Desktop on Windows in Google Chrome. I rarely use mobile because it doesn't scale very well.
